As one other reviewer indicated, because the Best Western sign is not as visible or obvious as it could be, at first glance you might see only casino and not the Best Western. Knights Inn Globe. And the hospitality is top notch, they made you feel special. We do not gamble but the large, beautifully appointed room, good food and kind service made it worth the search. The locals are interesting from the Apache reservation. Once you have you Apache Gold Players Club card, just about every thing is at a discount from you hotel stay, your meals, even in the gift shop. We search up to sites for the lowest prices. We have been going to the Apache Stronghold for the past 7 years around the Labor Day weekend, this year was the best yet. Also a casino attached keeps you occupied, not very large but good enough for entertainment. This year the new directer of golf Jim Lawrence treated us like kings as the course was in the best shape its been in years. This one is the best in the area of Globe, only because it has everything right there on site. The hotel is connected to the casino which offers a large variety of slot machines and at least two eating options. The pool is brand new and nice, the fitness center is also new. The rooms are spacious attractive and clean with plenty of drawer space. We ended up on dirt roads in the reservation before making our way back to the interstate and on to Globe where we asked directions and were sent 5 miles back east to the Apache Gold Casino which we had seen and commented on but passed by because the tiny "Best Western" sign was hidden behind the gas price and casino signage. Apparently the area had not at that time been GPS'ed. The Stronghold Golf course attached is nice, needs a little work, they are tearing up the bunkers,but great views. We would definitely return! Casino outstanding and lots of jackpots on slot machines. The fitness room is fully equipped with aerobic and strength training equipment and is far superior to many fitness rooms in much larger hotels.
